The ABB standard drive is simple to buy, install, configure and use, saving considerable time. It is widely available through ABB's distributors, hence the use of the term standard. The drive has common user and process interface with fieldbus, common software tools for sizing, commissioning, maintenance and common spare parts.
ACS550 drive applications
The ABB standard drive can be used in a wide range of industries. Typical applications include pump, fan and constant torque use, such as conveyors. The ABB standard drive is ideal in those situations where there is a need for simplicity to install, commission and use and where customization or special product engineering is not required.
ACH550 drives for HVAC applications
The introduction of a dedicated ABB drive for HVAC marks a significant milestone in the development of AC drives. Macros for the most common applications are built into the drive as standard. The drive is programmed with several HVAC applications, including supply and return fans, cooling tower fans, booster pumps and condensers.
ACS310 drive applications
An extension to the ABB standard drives family is a series of drives specifically designed for variable torque applications such as pumps and fans. The specific design includes a powerful set of features which benefit pump and fan applications including built-in PID controllers and PFC (pump and fan control). These features, combined with pre-programmed application macros, an intuitive user interface and several assistant screens, speed up the installation, parameter setting and commissioning of the drive.
