John Crane 1670 - Cartridge version of Type 670 High Temperature Metal Bellows Seal The 1670 is a factory pre-set edge welded metal bellows cartridge manufactured in Hastelloy 276 C. Its design greatly simplifies installation and maintenance and provides positive protection against seal failure due to faulty mounting.
The advance design of bellows seals having only one moving part, the bellows, solves a number of problems that difficult products can pose.  The bellows eliminates fretting and hang up on the sleeve due to solids in the product which are thrown off form the bellows by centrifugal action avoiding problems of clogged springs. The 670 bellows seal at the heart of the cartridge has a high corrosion resistance and is totally interchangeable with the 680 and 676 edge welded bellows seals which may be substituted if their particular characteristics are required.
