Intelligent Seal Water Control System
The SmartFlow IG Control System is a piece of equipment that automatically controls seal water flow. It is designed to be used with John Crane double-balanced seals. SmartFlow IG operation is based on a heat-activated shape memory alloy spring that mechanically opens and closes the flow channel. The system automatically adjusts to new operating conditions, e.g. alternating pressure and temperature.
The Integrated SmartFlow IG has been designed for use with Safematic JCS2 seals but can be adapted for use with other John Crane seal designs. For use with other seal designs refer to JC Safematic to check the water connection dimension details.
