R series (two-stage and three-stage)

Our complete range of helical gearmotors provides the optimum size and power solution for every drive task. And for operators with a “weight-watching” issue, our multi-stage gear units provide something special: Thanks to their die-cast aluminum design, the models R07, R17 and R27 are three particularly efficient lightweights – ideal as satellite drives and for use in light machine constructions. Reduced backlash helical gear units are also available for particularly precise requirements.

	RM series
	RM gearmotors with extended output bearing hub are a special type of helical gearmotor. They were designed especially for agitating applications and allow for high overhung and axial loads and bending moments. The remaining data corresponds to that of standard helical gearmotors.

Our extra-slim parallel shaft helical gearmotors are the perfect solution when space is limited. The many different sizes and designs ensure that the gearmotors can be used in a wide variety of applications even under the most unfavorable conditions. SEW-EURODRIVE parallel shaft helical gearmotors are typically used in conveyor and materials processing applications. You can choose from foot-mounted, flange-mounted or shaft-mounted options. Reduced backlash parallel shaft helical gear units are also available on request for precise positioning tasks. K series (three-stage)

Helical-bevel gear units from SEW-EURODRIVE provide a high degree of efficiency of over 96% in both torque directions and at all input speeds. With performance designed to last – high-endurance gearing enables high-torque, wear-free operation. With our remarkably efficient helical-bevel gearmotors, you have energy-saving angular gear drives at your fingertips. As they also have a long maintenance-free service life, they can be used in every application with AC asynchronous motors, asynchronous and synchronous servomotors. A reduced backlash version is available for precise positioning tasks. S series

SEW-EURODRIVE helical-worm gear units are helical/helical-worm combinations, so they are more efficient than normal helical-worm gear units. Due to their outstanding efficiency, these drives can be used in every industrial sector and tailored to individual torque and speed requirements. The reduction ratios afforded by the helical-worm gear stage and the low noise levels during operation make these gearmotors ideal low-cost solutions for simple applications. W series

SPIROPLAN® gearmotors are robust right-angle gearmotors with SPIROPLAN® gearing. They have three main differences from the helical-worm gear units: the material combination of the steel-on-steel gearing, the special tooth meshing relationships and the aluminum housing. These features make SPIROPLAN® gearmotors very quiet, wear-free and lightweight. The particularly short design and the aluminum housing make for very compact and lightweight drive solutions. The wear-free gearing and the life-long lubrication facilitate long periods of maintenance-free operation. As the oil fill is independent of the mounting position, SPIROPLAN® gearmotors can be installed in any mounting position without altering the quantity of oil. Identical hole spacing in the foot and face as well as the equal shaft height to both provides you with diverse mounting options. VU/VZ series

The VU and VZ designs of the VARIBLOC® wide V-belt variable speed gearmotors are used with power ranges of up to 45 kW. Typical speed setting ranges are 1:4, 1:6 and 1:8. The U- or Z-shaped power flow and numerous combination possibilities with reduction gear units mean that these speed gearmotors can be supplied in a broad range of designs. They can easily be tailored to the most diverse machine structures.

	D series
	Series D VARIMOT® friction disk variable speed gearmotors are intended for power ranges up to 11 kW and speed setting ranges 1:4 or 1:5. The contact pressure between the driving pulley and the friction ring required for torque transmission is set automatically. The speed control can be adjusted even when the gearmotor is at a standstill.
